About Me
I’m a queer and non-binary Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) with a master’s degree from Westminster University and over seven years of experience in the mental health field. My background includes work in suicide prevention, wilderness therapy, and community mental health. I have specialized experience in relational trauma, domestic violence, and high-conflict relationships—particularly within vulnerable, low-income populations.
My approach is relational and psychodynamic, grounded in the belief that healing happens through insight, connection, and the safety of a consistent, attuned relationship. I’ve studied psychodynamic theory in depth and bring a nuanced understanding of how early experiences shape our sense of self, our relationships, and our internal worlds.
In addition to my formal clinical training, my orientation is informed by long-term studies in Eastern healing traditions and Indigenous wisdom. My work is shaped by personal study and practice in yoga philosophy, Buddhism, and ongoing healing work with Shipibo-Konibo teachers in the Peruvian Amazon. While these influences are not clinical interventions, they shape a culturally expansive, holistic orientation that honors multiple forms of wisdom and healing.
